Queer open mic and Asheville Slam Team sendoff, July 31

PRESS RELEASE FROM EVENT ORGANIZERS:

The Asheville Slam team is Devric Butoh, Steve Shell, Ramya Ramana, Francine Hendrickson and Breeze. We will be competing and the National Poetry Slam (NPS) in Decatur, GA the first week of August. We will represent Asheville with our best poems at this national competition. This is the first time Asheville has sent a team to compete at NPS since 2003.
