Relay for Life of Henderson County comes to WNC Ag Center on June 28

Press release from the American Cancer Society:

Participants unite for the annual American Cancer Society (ACS) Relay For Life of Henderson County to help beat our biggest rival: cancer. Relay For Life is free and open to the public. It’s not too late to register a team or join one at RelayForLife.org. All Henderson and Buncombe County residents are encouraged to join in the fun! The Relay For Life movement inspires the community to celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change.

Funds raised from Relay For Life events allow the ACS to attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer – from developing breakthrough therapies and innovative research, to building supportive communities that come together to help those affected by cancer with access to treatment. The ACS provides empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness and develop game-changing approaches to address the cancer burden for all people.

The relay takes place on Friday, June 28, from 6 p.m.-12 a.m., at the WNC Agricultural Center, 761 Boylston Highway, Fletcher. For more information, contact Casey Eller at 864-627-8289 or casey.eller@cancer.org.
