Resources, meet-up groups for adults with ADHD

Press release

From ADHD Center for Success:

ADHD is one of the most common behavioral disorders diagnosed in children today, but it does not stop there. 60% of children with ADHD will continue to experience ADHD symptoms into adulthood. This translates into 4%, or 8 million adults. Although adult ADHD is becoming more recognized in society, there is still an extremely high percentage that goes undiagnosed or untreated. For these adults, obstacles at home, in relationships and in the workplace are very common.

Adults that are diagnosed continue to lack a thorough understanding of adult ADHD and how to help themselves. There is good news. Help is available. The ADHD Center for Success is launching an Adult ADHD Beginners group. The ADHD Beginners group is designed for those adults who have been recently diagnosed with ADHD and want to learn more about adult ADHD and what to do next. The 5

group will help develop strategies and skills to cope with the emotional and mental stress. Beginners group will teach time & organizational strategies, prioritization, help reduce procrastination, boost self-esteem, maintain focus, offer support & accountability from others suffering with ADHD.

The group format is a very powerful tool for both learning and sharing. Groups allow participants to feel connected with other ADHD adults who each have their own unique strengths and challenges. In this beginner group you will learn about specific tools and strategies to help manage your ADHD, time and organizational techniques
