Robert Chilmonik announces intent to run as republican candidate for State House of Representatives

From Robert Chilmonik

Press release

I am announcing my intention to run as a Republican for State House District 115, representing the citizens of eastern Buncombe county.

The citizens of Buncombe county need experienced, results driven representation focused on job growth, education, reducing government growth, and reducing the tax burden on the middle class.

My background includes over twenty years’ corporate management experience, supervising a large professional staff and managing a multimillion dollar budget, as well as two elected terms as a School Board member in the State of Florida for a 1.4-billion-dollar school district.

I believe that every citizen has a right to cost effective government, excellent public schools, open public records that are easily accessible, highly ethical behavior by public officials, and curbing the insatiable government demand for increased borrowing and spending.

Our State is starting to recover after many difficult years and produce higher paying manufacturing and technology jobs. We need attractive state business tax policies to induce companies to choose North Carolina over other competing states.

I will work tirelessly towards that goal. Many years ago, the citizens of North Carolina gave me a chance for a better education and life for my family. I want to repay that debt by serving as your State House Representative. Thank you and God bless America.
