Sandy Mush community hosts Spring Fling fundraiser and plant exchange, May 19

For a laid-back, fun, family-friendly Saturday afternoon, join us in Sandy Mush for our Spring Fling with a hamburger and hot dog cookout fundraiser for the Sandy Mush 4-H club (the oldest 4-H in Buncombe County). Cost is $5-$6 for hot dogs, hamburgers or veggie burgers with chips and a drink. Desserts from Mountain Lady Farm Project are $1. All proceeds will benefit the 4-H club and other community youth programs.

There will also be  a free plant and seed exchange, craft demonstrators, craft activities for children and the grand opening of Sandy Mush’s new playground — the first brand-new playground the community has ever had.
