Press release from SCORE:

SCORE is partnering with Carol L. King & Associates to offer a new free seminar for small businesses. This seminar is led by experts from Carol L. King & Associates, and it covers changes in the new tax law

Wednesday, May 23, 11:30AM – 1PM:
Tax Tips for Small Businesses. Many entrepreneurs are surprised to learn that they have to share with the government; in fact, we suggest you consider the IRS to be a silent partner! We’ll start with the top three ways to keep on the good side of the IRS: making sure you understand the difference between an employee and a contractor, paying estimated taxes when they’re due (and keeping the money set aside to do it), and keeping good records with separate bank accounts and credit cards for business expenses and income. Bring your lunch and your questions.

This seminar will be held at Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Asheville campus (36 Montford Ave.) Registration is required. Learn more by visiting the Asheville SCORE website or calling 828-271-4786.
