Sing Out! For Justice to celebrate one year anniversary of Henderson County Family Justice Center

Press release from Pisgah Legal Services:

In October, the Henderson County Family Justice Center will celebrate one year of helping victims of interpersonal violence lessen the trauma of reporting their abuse.

The Henderson County Family Justice Center is on South Grove Street in Hendersonville, conveniently located near the County Courthouse, The Mediation Center, the Sheriff’s Department, DSS and other organizations designed to help victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and elder abuse. It is the first of its kind in Western North Carolina and based on a national model that enables victims and their children to find all the services they need in one place.

Case workers from Mainstay and attorneys from Pisgah Legal Services staff the HCFJC and work in collaboration with Vanessa’s Vision, The Healing Place, NCDPS, Probation and Parole Office and Henderson County’s DSS, District Attorney and Sherriff’s Department and Fletcher and Laurel Park Police Departments.
