Sip ‘n Spin at Dobra Tea, May 22

Swannanoa Valley Museum is partnering with Dobra Tea to create a unique event in which textile artists can come together to share their craft in a peaceful environment over a pot of tea.

During the event, Museum Educator and fiber artist, Christina Ruiz, will give an overview of the history of textiles and a spinning demonstration.

For the event, anyone interested in learning more about spinning yarn or other textile arts are invited sit in on the demonstration, learn from other artists, and bring their own spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, or other textiles project to work on and share with the group.

This event is free and open to the public, so whether you work with textiles or are just interested in learning more, meet at Dobra Tea House at 4:00pm on Thursday, May 22.
