Smart Start Partnership for Children seeks book donations for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Press release from Smart Start Partnership for Children:

Smart Start Partnership for Children is currently seeking donations of new and gently used books for children ages 0-18.  Books will be sold at the annual children’s book sale on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 8:00am-4:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church (1245 6th Avenue West, Hendersonville).

Proceeds from the sale will support early literacy in Henderson County through Smart Start’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program.  The Imagination Library mails a new, age-appropriate book monthly to children from birth (or whenever they register) until their fifth birthday.  Smart Start is currently providing a book each month for over 3,000 local children, and all proceeds from the Book Sale will support more Henderson County children to receive books.

Books may be donated at the Smart Start Partnership for Children office (722 5th Avenue West, Hendersonville) or at the following participating locations:

Henderson County Public Elementary Schools

The Mountain Community School

Hendersonville Community Co-Op
