Southside Community Engagement Social canceled

Press release from Southside Community Engagement Social organizers:

It is with great sorrow and regret that we write to inform you that we are cancelling the Southside Community Engagement Social scheduled for this afternoon.

We were informed just moments ago by the Asheville Police Department that there was a shooting near the Wesley Grant Southside Center, the site for our event today. It has been strongly recommended that we cancel today’s event. We are deeply saddened by this situation, and hope everyone in the Southside community is safe.

We plan to reschedule this event for a future date, and we will share those details once they are confirmed.

Sincerely,

Southside Community Engagement Social organizers
