Let your light shine at the next Asheville Affiliates party, benefiting The SPARC Foundation’s work to create safer communities and healthier families. SPARC After Dark is the final Affiliates’ benefit party of the season and promises to fill the autumn evening with high-energy music, tasty local food and drinks, and spectacular raffle packages. Tickets are just $25 in advance and include drinks, food, and live entertainment on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 6-9 p.m. on the banks of the French Broad River at The Boat House at Smoky Park Supper Club (350 Riverside Drive in Asheville’s River Arts District).
“Since 1999, the Asheville Affiliates has worked with local nonprofit organizations of all sizes to raise awareness, raise funds, and build a community network to increase the quality of living for all who call our little corner of the world their home,” according to Beth Hesse, President of the Asheville
Affiliates. “SPARC After Dark is a fitting end to our twentieth anniversary season. SPARC’s approach to empowering marginalized people with individualized support combines employment, education, and compassion to keep families together and our neighbors out of prisons and mental health facilities.”SPARC After Dark takes its inspiration from the natural beauty of the western North Carolina night sky: no matter who we are or what advantages we may possess, the stars shine on all of us the same. The party will feature live music from local band Modern Strangers (voted #2 Most Popular
Band in the Mountain Express 2019 Best of WNC Awards); beer, cider, wine, a signature cocktail from Oak & Grist Distilling Company,
and nonalcoholic drinks; light bites from local restaurants; and raffles featuring outdoor gear, vacation getaways, theatre tickets, and much more.Tickets are $25 in advance ($30 on the day of the event) and are on sale now at www.ashevilleaffiliates.com. Everything is included except for raffle tickets, which can be purchased for $5 each or five for $20. There is also a featured ticket package option that includes one ticket to the event, 20 raffle tickets, plus a variety of glow bracelets, necklaces, sparklers and other accessories to help you SPARC and glow!
