Spencer Herr showcase at American Folk opens Oct. 3

Asheville-based self-taught painter Spencer Herr has created a special solo show, “Underlying Currents,” for American Folk Art & Framing. In it, “he has taken the opportunity to create a singular body of work, one which illustrates his deep thinking about the course and curse of the modern everyday; decisions taken – moments recognized – and then not,” says a press release.
“Each painting is a chapter of his philosophy. Relating to one another, yet, standing singularly strong.
”

Herr is now nationally recognized and collected. His show runs Thursday, Oct. 3 through Wednesday, Oct. 23 with an artist’s reception on Friday, Oct. 4 from 5-8 p.m.
