Stecoah arts & crafts studios set to open for annual tour

The 15th annual “Stecoah Arts & Craft Drive About Tour” will be from 10
am to 5 pm, June 24-25 in Graham and Swain counties.

With their studios open to the public, the free self-guided driving tour
highlights artisans who have built a livelihood with their creative
talents.

On the tour you will meet some of the artists that make Western
North Carolina famous for our handcrafted arts and crafts. Arts and
crafts on the tour include native crafts, chain saw art, honeys,
candles, skin care products, container gardens, vegetable & bedding
plants, herbs, pottery, cheese, basketry on dyed gourds, watercolors and
other mediums, photography, handmade baskets, jewelry, soap and metal
work.

The tour includes the Yellow Branch Pottery & Cheese, Charles Heath
Gallery, Sassafras Spring Farm, Fanecove Furniture, Elizabeth Elison
Watercolors, Junk N’Style, Pincu Pottery, Sleepy Hallow Farm, Wild Fern
Studios & Gallery, Bee Global Studio Gallery, Stecoah Artisans Gallery,
Hunting Boy Wood Carving, Wehrloom Honey & Essentials and Taylor’s
Greenhouse.

The Schoolhouse Café will be open for lunch and light snacks both days
of the tour.

Also beginning Monday, June 20 – Saturday, June 25 visit Stecoah Valley
Center for the “Artisans Silent Auction”. Throughout the week browse and
bid on quality creations by area artist. Winning bids will be announced
at the June 25 An Appalachian Evening concert. Proceeds benefit the
Stecoah Valley Center. Brochures that include the map and information
