STIG releases single “Splügarn,” announces late-February tour

Press release from Red Rover Booking:

Asheville-based progressive jazz funk fusion band STIG is pairing up with Chicago-based jamtronic electro-funk band Chachuba for a 6-night run through the Southeast starting on February 15th at The One Stop in Asheville, North Carolina, followed by shows in Highlands, North Carolina; Tucker, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Knoxville, Tennessee; Athens, Georgia; and Franklin, North Carolina. For jam band make-you-dance, funk music lovers, catching this pairing at a stage near you is a must!

STIG will also drop a new single to kick off the run on February 15th. The new track titled “Splügarn” is possibly their most fun-filled and upbeat tune to date. Inspired by the classic afrobeat sound, “Splügarn “is guaranteed to get anyone listening off their butt and onto their feet. The track features all the trademarks of the band – a ripping sax melody, a drum solo break, and all the members screaming “Splügarn” into the mic. The new song was recorded on a day off while on tour in Colorado this past Fall at Scanhope Sound Studio. The members of STIG love the tune so much they couldn’t wait for the next album before releasing it.

The back-to-back sonic exploration and improvisation of bands STIG and Chachuba will bring high-energy funk fusion music to cities throughout the Southeast. Check out the tour schedule:
