Student food drive brings in more than 12 tons of food

Asheville, NC: March 13, 2014. The Western North Carolina Student Food Drive was a huge success. The combined total for the schools was 24,634 pounds. This year the competition was fierce and creative, and included a game of Jeopardy, a Quidditch Match, a rapping teacher and a virtual food drive.

Awards are being distributed for most pounds per student.

The three winning schools are:
              
Christ School,  Most Pounds per Student

Buncombe County Early College, Second in Most Pounds per Student

AC Reynolds,   Most Pounds Overall, third in Most Pounds per Student

Trophies will be delivered to winning schools next week.
