Sunday at the Opry set for Nov. 11 in Canton

Press release from Haywood County Arts Council:

This year, the Haywood County Arts Council joins the Town of Canton to celebrate Veterans Day with music. Join friends and neighbors on November 11 at 4:00 p.m. to celebrate Sunday at the Opry at the Colonial Theater. Local musicians will perform as Grand Ole Opry greats for a fun afternoon of country classics in honor of those who have served. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children under 12, and veterans are admitted free (though must reserve a ticket to hold their seat).

Performers signed on so far include Darren and Taylor Nicholson, Jessi Stone, Hunter Grigg, Jeanne Nabor, Alma Russ, Leslie Hipps, Kevin Fuller, Susie Copeland, J. Creek Cloggers, Lorraine Conard, and more. Local band Stone Crazy will sit in as the house band. Mary Ann Enloe will emcee the show.
About the event, HCAC Executive Director Leigh Forrester shares, “We’re thrilled to co-sponsor this event with the Town of Canton. This is the second annual Sunday at the Opry event at the Colonial, and event coordinator Jessi Stone, also news editor for The Smoky Mountain News, is working with local musicians to put out a great line-up of performers. We see this as a fun community event to honor our Veterans that everyone will enjoy.”
