Press release from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:

The 8th Annual VA2K Walk & Roll will be held on May 16, 2018 at the Charles George VAMC starting at 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.

Nationally, since 2011 donations valued at approximately $2 million dollars have been raised for homeless Veterans.

“The VA2K Walk & Roll is one of the ways we encourage our staff to adopt healthy lifestyles. In addition, it’s also a great way for them to help homeless Veterans,” said Steph Young, Charles George VAMC Medical Center Director.

Community groups who are interested in participating in the event should contact the local VA2K coordinator, Karina Vazquez at (828) 298-7911 ext. 4135 or via email at Karina.Vazquez2@va.gov.
