The Alliance for Aviation Across America commends Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer

Press release from Alliance for Aviation Across America:

The Alliance for Aviation Across America today commended Mayor Esther Manheimer of Asheville, North Carolina  for proclaiming February “General Aviation Appreciation Month.” In North Carolina, general aviation contributes over $5 billion to the state’s economy per year.

“Mayor Manheimer’s proclamation helps highlight the economic benefits and valuable service that general aviation provides to the City of Asheville and the State of North Carolina,” said Selena Shilad, Executive Director of the Alliance for Aviation Across America. “We sincerely thank the Mayor and the City of Asheville for recognizing this vital industry.”

The proclamation not only cites the economic impact of general aviation and local airports like the Asheville Regional Airport but also the importance of investing in this infrastructure to encourage enthusiasm in flying and grow the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals, as well as to encourage future growth through investments in sustainability.
