Press release from Blockparty Productions:

The 19th season of Tryon’s most popular summer event – Summer Tracks – continues on Friday, August 3rd with The Paper Crowns Electric Band. All shows begin at 7 pm. In case of rain the concerts will move across the street inside the spacious Tryon Fire Dept. A full schedule including performers bios and photos can be found at www.summertracks.com.

The Paper Crowns’ Spiro and Nicole are one of the premier duos on the Southeast music scene. For this special concert, they have returned to their jam and psychedelic roots with their full-on electric six-piece ensemble – The Paper Crowns Electric Band.  Their sound is a medley of Blues, Southern Rock, American Folk and Jazz, Gospel and Funk. Their musical intensity and soul has earned them comparisons to Tedeschi Trucks Band. Tonight’s show features Nicole Nicolopoulos (vocals, guitar), Spiro Nicolopoulos (vocals, guitar), Steve Kemble (drums, Percussion), Ryan Crabtree (bass), Lenny Pentinelli (keyboard) and Jay Good (drums,(percussion).

The Paper Crowns have played such events as: LEAF (2018), Warren Haynes Christmas Jam by Day, Mountain Sports Festival, Soulshine Farm Music Festival, South By South East and more. Their music has found placement in major network TV campaigns and online ad campaigns including for the Olympic Games, Visa, Court TV and Pepsi.

“The Paper Crowns…songs cross so many genres that all you need to know is that if you like music, there’s something for you there.” (Vanessa Franko – Press Enterprise). For more info check out www.ThePaperCrowns.com.

All Summer Tracks concerts are free, though a voluntary donation at the gate is encouraged. Audience donations along with the generous presenting sponsorship of New View Realty, tonight’s concert sponsor M.S. Hammett Construction, LLC and many local businesses and individuals make these shows possible.  Katie D’s N.Y. Bagels & Deli will be offering for sale a variety of slider & wrap sandwiches, pimento cheese and crackers, plus a variety of desserts including brownies, cookies and ice cream. Water and soft drinks will be for sale plus alcohol consumption is allowed in the park but is not for sale.

Summer Tracks is produced by the Town of Tryon in affiliation with Peter Eisenbrown of Blockparty Productions. For more information about Summer Tracks and the performers visit www.summertracks.com.
