The Snozzberries release 2-track single “No Evil”

Press release from Red Rover Booking:

Since their formation in the Fall of 2017, The Snozzberries have been building their name as one of the Southeast’s most electrifying live band, with infectious grooves heard around Asheville and beyond. The band has headlined Asheville Music Hall, opened for The Werks at Pisgah Brewing, and hosted one of the Disco Biscuits after- parties last March. Their latest 2-track release features songs “No Evil” and “Snitchin’ Randy” and will be available on Jan 22nd on Spotify, iTunes, and all major streaming platforms. Both songs were recorded here in Asheville at The Eagle Room, and reflect the band’s unique dichotomy of thoughtful bliss and visceral excitement. Both songs were created in the spirit of collaboration, with each band member adding their own flavor.

The title track, “No Evil,” finds The Snozzberries channeling their inner psychedelic pop a la The Flaming Lips. The whispery sing-song verses swirl from Paul Simon-esque dance grooves into a Red Hot Chili Peppers arena-rock chorus, culminating in a soaring keyboard solo atop an infectious jangle-pop rhythm. At the polar opposite end of the musical spectrum emerges the B-side track, “Snitchin’ Randy,” a roaring progressive face-melter in the vein of Umphrey’s McGee and Frank Zappa. The band navigates this pulse-pounding rocker, sneaking in emotional guitar leads amidst the diminished licks. A tripped-out bass solo separates the song mid-point, leading to a hi-energy funkadelic bridge and a relentless whiplash ending.
