The Blackbird to celebrate its first year in downtown Asheville

Press release from The Blackbird:

The Blackbird Restaurant will celebrate their one year anniversary at the downtown Asheville location on Oct. 16. Guests that dine at The Blackbird on their special day will receive complimentary coconut cake bites and bubbles.

The Blackbird moved from Black Mountain to 47 Biltlmore Ave. in downtown Asheville in the fall of 2012. The new location aligns with the restaurant’s original concept: a modern Southern menu with a “nod” to tradition. Executive chef Bobby Buggia and pastry chef Roz Taubman focus on locally sourced ingredients from area farmers and fresh catches from the coast of the Carolinas to create fun, vibrant menus that celebrate all that Asheville has to offer. All desserts are made in-house and can be paired with local microbrews and great wines. The Blackbird’s menu was created to delight guests with cuisine grounded in Carolinian traditions and ingredients for lunch, dinner and brunch.
