HENDERSONVILLE– Tickets are now on sale for the Hands On! Children’s Museum 1st Annual Wonder Gala, presented by AdventHealth Hendersonville. The gala will take place at Hendersonville’s Point Lookout Vineyards on Saturday, March 16th. Point Lookout Vineyards is nestled atop the southeast slope of Point Lookout Mountain, which features breathtaking 30-mile panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Attendees will enjoy delicious food (meat, vegan, & vegetarian options available), live entertainment by Dueling Pianos, dancing, craft beer/wine, cocktails, d’oeuvres, silent auction, and more; all within a spectacular climate-controlled environment.
Joseph Knight, the museum’s Executive Director says “The Wonder Gala will be a most exciting evening of wonder and discovery as we celebrate the museum’s past while embracing its future. We have big and exciting plans to transform the museum into a one-of-a-kind destination experience for the children of our community, and we can’t wait to unveil the interior and exterior renderings of the new museum during this event.”
In 2018 Hands On! secured additional space within its building, and announced plans for an expansion which will allow the museum to nearly double in size. Thanks to support from the Community Foundation of Henderson County and the City of Hendersonville, the museum initiated a Master Planning process led by Haizlip Studio. Several public planning workshops were held in Fall 2018, which had a great influence on the final design of the new museum.
