Traffic fatality widow seeks help with funeral expenses for husband—A C-T

From The Asheville Citizen-Times

by Julie Ball

Miriam Katsigiannis wants a proper funeral for her husband of 33 years.

But she says living on a fixed income, she can’t afford it, so she’s asking for help from the community.

“I don’t want to see him cremated and be an unclaimed person. He’s not unclaimed. He has me,” Katsigiannis said.

Katsigiannis’ husband, Konstantinos Katsigiannis, 79, was hit by a car as he attempted to cross Patton Avenue a week ago.
