TSAChoice celebrates 30 year anniversary

Here’s the press release from TSAChoice:

Technology integrator TSAChoice, Inc., with offices in Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC, is proud to announce that August 2012 marks the company’s 30th anniversary of serving the region with turnkey office technology. Grown to a staff of more than 60 technology professionals, TSAChoice provides its customers a single source for a full spectrum of voice, data, audio/visual, security, and cabling solutions.

TSAChoice began in 1982 as Telephone Systems of Asheville, a division of MB Haynes Corporation, and quickly became the dominant telephone equipment, data wiring and fiber optics provider in the area. In 1995 TSAChoice’s original management team of Bill Arledge, Jeff Lowdermilk, and Dan Higgins bought the company from MB Haynes and continue to lead the company.

In 1999 TSAChoice purchased Choice Computer Center, a local network services company, and changed its name to TSAChoice, mirroring the global convergence of the voice and data industries.

In 2007 the company began providing conference room automation and video-conferencing for businesses, and automation and entertainment systems for homes. More recently TSAChoice earned its North Carolina security license, allowing them to offer customers card-access, video surveillance and alarm systems, and other security applications.

2011 marked TSAChoice’s expansion into upstate South Carolina, serving businesses in Greenville, Greer, Spartanburg, Easley, Anderson, Woodruff, and surrounding areas, from its Greenville, SC office.

In 2012 TSAChoice became a launch sponsor of the monthly networking event, Tech After Five in Asheville. Tech After Five is a monthly sponsor-supported, professional networking event for tech professionals and tech entrepreneurs, and currently hosts monthly events in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina. Asheville is the newest and fifth location for the popular series for technology professionals. Tech After Five Asheville is hosted at the Hickory Tavern in Biltmore Park Town Square.

Today TSAChoice is one of only a few companies in the region with the resources and expertise to engineer, install and service all aspects of today’s integrated networks, including Voice Over IP, Unified Communications, Video-Teleconferencing, Server Virtualization, and other sophisticated enterprise applications for small, mid-sized, or large businesses.
