Tupelo Honey Café considering Bristol for future restaurant

From TriCities.com:

Officials with the popular Tupelo Honey Café chain visited downtown Bristol Wednesday during a tour of the Tri-Cities, which is being considered as a possible site for a future restaurant.

“I thought the visit really went well,” said Bristol Chamber of Commerce CEO Lisa Meadows, one of several city officials who met with Tupelo Honey owner Steve Frabitore and other representatives of the chain, which operates two popular southern cuisine restaurants in Asheville, N.C., and is opening an eatery in Knoxville later this year.

“We really feel Tupelo Honey – and its whole mission as a business that really becomes entrenched in its community – fits very well with what we’re doing in our downtown area,” Meadows said. “And I think we did a good job of showing how our downtown would be a very appealing area for Tupelo Honey, as well.”
