Tupelo Honey expands to Charlotte, according to the Observer

The Charlotte Observer reports that Asheville-based Tupelo Honey Café has plans to open its seventh location in the city’s South End neighborhood. Here’s an excerpt from the article, which ran online today.

Tupelo Honey Cafe is preparing to renovate the old Pewter Rose Bistro, according to Mecklenburg County building permits. Elizabeth Sims, the restaurant’s marketing manager, said no opening date had been set, since it’s so early in the permiting process. The space was empty, and there was no sign of any renovations Wednesday morning.

News of the Charlotte location follows closely on the heels of the announcement of the Chattanooga location. Tupelo Honey released details about that project in April. For more information about the restaurant’s plans for expansion, click here.
