If the idea of dining on a three-course meal and tasting wines from the area while seated in a 1940s-era first-class dining car that’s rolling past green hills and through rugged gorges tickles your fancy, then you’re in luck. The French Broad Vignerons have announce that the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad has added two additional trips of the MacNeill Uncorked Wine Excursion (see ‘The MacNeill Uncorked: Local wineries partner for the nation’s second wine train tour’, May 13, 2015.)

The new dates are Saturday, September 5 and Saturday, November 28. The trips will continue to depart from the GSMR Terminal in Bryson City and travel to the Nantahala Gorge and back. Seats may be booked by calling the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad at (800) 872-4681.
