For the second consecutive year, UNC Asheville will join the North Carolina College Foundation for the Countdown to College and waive application fees for North Carolina residents, including transfer students, during College Application Week, October 18-22, 2021.
The application fee for UNC Asheville typically costs $75.
Students may choose to apply for Early Decision, which gives priority consideration to students who are confident that UNC Asheville is their first-choice university. The deadlines for Early Decision are November 1 and January 15. The regular application deadline is February 1, though a student may submit their application at any time before that date. Transfer students are encouraged to apply by November 15 for spring 2022 or April 15 for fall 2022. Start your application at unca.edu/admission/apply/.
In addition to College Application Week, UNC Asheville will host Open Houses on Saturday, October 16 and November 13, and FAFSA Day on October 23. While both Open House dates are full with a waitlist, we encourage prospective students to sign-up for one of our tours and information sessions. The October 23 FAFSA Day offers hands-on help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and is open to students applying to college – any college – and their families. Register for the event, or find more information at unca.edu/events-and-news/event/unc-asheville-fafsa-day/.
