UNCA-MAHEC-FEMA vaccination site continues in December

Press release from UNC Asheville:

UNC Asheville’s COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster Clinic continues on weekends in December, but will be closed Thanksgiving Weekend, Nov. 26-28, 2021 and Friday, Dec. 10 as UNC Asheville celebrates Commencement.

Individuals who received a first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, including the vaccine for ages 5-11, during the weekend of Nov. 5, are invited to return for a second dose when the clinic re-opens Dec. 3.

The Pfizer vaccine is now available for ages 5-11. No appointment is needed for this walk-in clinic.

The COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster Clinic on the University’s campus continues to offer all three COVID-19 booster shots (Pfizer, Moderna and J&J) for those eligible, in addition to all three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna and J&J) for those seeking their first or second vaccine dose. Due to demand, additional dates have been added to the clinic schedule into December. The clinic is operated in partnership with the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
