Virtual day for AHS/SILSA due to water disruption

Press release from Asheville City Schools:

Around 7:10 AM, the City of Asheville Water Department notified us that there will be water disruption work on McDowell Street from Choctaw Street to Meadow Road.  This maintenance has already begun to affect parts of the Asheville High School/SILSA campus.

The City is reporting that the high school may experience low to no water pressure across parts of our campus until 4:00 PM.

Therefore, today, Tuesday, May 4th will be a virtual day for all Asheville High School & SILSA students and staff members.  No instruction will occur on the high school’s campus.  This change in instruction is just impacting Asheville High School & SILSA.

We will provide staff and families with additional updates once we know more.
