Charles Unger and his band return to the White Horse on Saturday, Sept. 21 for an evening of eclectic jazz. 8 p.m. show, $15.
According to a press release, “Unger is a legendary presence on the San Francisco jazz scene. He is adept on soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, and with the Charles Unger Experience treats his listeners to jazz standards, smooth jazz and originals. His playing is informed not only by the great jazz masters but also by his familiarity with R&B, Funk and World Beat music. Unger’s obvious joy in performance is infectious as he leaps musical barriers with his rich saxophone tone.”
