Western North Carolina Regional Air Quality Agency announces public meeting to address its proposed fiscal year 2021 budget

To all interested parties:

The Western North Carolina Regional Air Quality Agency (WNCRAQA) hereby gives notice of a public comment period and hearing regarding its proposed fiscal year 2021 budget.

A public hearing will be held during the WNCRAQA Board of Director’s Meeting at 4 p.m. on May 11, 2020 in the meeting room at the Buncombe County Permit Office, 30 Valley Street, Asheville, NC. If the meeting arrangements are modified due to COVID-19 restrictions, details will be posted on our website at wncairquality.org prior to the meeting. All persons interested in the proposed budget are invited to view it on our website, submit comments, and participate in the public hearing. Any person desiring to comment is requested to submit a written statement for inclusion in the record of proceedings at the budget hearing or prior to the budget hearing. To be included in the hearing record, comments must be received by the WNCRAQA prior to May 11, 2020 or at the budget hearing.

Copies of the proposed fiscal year 2021 budget may be downloaded from the WNCRAQA website at http://www.buncombecounty.org/Governing/Depts/wncair/default.aspx. Currently, our office is closed to the public due to COVID-19 recommendations. The office phone number is 828-250-6777. Anyone interested in viewing the budget that does not have access to the internet is asked to call our office to make arrangements.
