WLOS: I-26 bridge repair close to being finished

Delays that have been happening on Interstate 26 at the “malfunction junction” with Interstate 40 may soon be relieved:

From WLOS:

D.O.T. Resident Engineer, Randy McKinney, says there’s a few final touches to be completed on the bridge repair, but this will take place during overnight hours. Crews will complete this work by 6 a.m. each morning, so many drivers won’t be affected by it. He says now that the daytime work is complete, drivers should only face the typical rush-hour congestion.
