WNC Diversity Engagement Coalition hosts fifth anniversary party Aug. 14

Press release from the WNC Diversity Engagement Coalition:

Are you passionate about making Asheville a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community? Not because it’s trendy to talk about equity, but because to build and sustain a happy, healthy community we must both celebrate what is working and shift what is not? Can you imagine what it’s like to face discrimination or have less access to local jobs simply because of your ethnicity, race, gender or class? Unfortunately, that’s not an imaginary situation for our community. At WNC Diversity Engagement Coalition, we know you’d like to do something about that reality. That’s why we’ve made it easy for you to connect with local human resource professionals from our community’s largest employers. Join us for the next Networking Social on Tuesday, August 14, 6 p.m. at the US Cellular Center for a celebration of community champions and to surge forward with a unified vision/plan. RSVPs required for this free networking social. Register at www.wncdec.com/networking-socials.
