WNC Falls Prevention Coalition holds Dec. 2 meeting

Press release from the Western North Carolina Falls Prevention Coalition:

Did you know that over 108,000 older adults visited the emergency room in 2019 due to accidental fall-related injuries? The Western North Carolina Falls Prevention Coalition (WNCFPC) works to reduce falls in our Western North Carolina counties and communities by creating collaborative learning opportunities to recognize and implement the best evidence-based practices for individuals who are at risk. Through this coalition you can network, participate in educational opportunities, learn about different activities happening in your area, get to know your community, and most importantly, help the effort to decrease fall-related injuries and death in Western NC. The coalition wants to increase involvement and opportunities for those looking to be Falls Prevention advocates. Within this coalition, your voice will be heard, and you will be welcomed to a team of community professionals.

Please join us on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 8:30-10:00 a.m. via Zoom to learn more about the WNCFPC. To register for this meeting, please email your name to stephanie@landofsky.org or call Stephanie Stewart at 828-251-7438.
