Writing from the Heart of Silence workshop, May 20

Press release from Aile Shebar:

We will be Writing from the Heart of Silence, where all writing begins, Sunday May 20 from 2-5:30 PM, in downtown Asheville. Come prepared with a notebook you would write anything at all in, including your grocery list, and a fast writing pen you like. Dress comfortably; writing is a Full-Bodied activity! You’ll be asked to leave your shoes and your ‘mind’ at the door, and you can bring pillows with you for the chairs or the floor in addition to the yoga studio mats and blocks and blankets available. ♥

Take a journey with us into the Realm of All Possibilities with Aile’s signature process, Writing from the Heart™. This is an afternoon to gather to write together and dive deep into the Silence, where the origin of wisdom and creative potential lie, and bring forth an awareness that is beyond the superficial, into words. We share these words aloud (always optional) and receive gentle feedback. We open up to the Unknown and are willing to take risks in a safe supportive environment for Self-Discovery. We strengthen our meditation and our Writing Practice (for writers in all genres) as we write. Aile (Amana) has 20 years of experience in teaching, guiding, and coaching writers and non-writers alike.

“Aile has a beautiful energy that you will connect with specifically and deeply. It is the one writing class I took that changed my entire life and made me a writer in the process!” ~ JESSICA G.

Aile Shebar, RN, MS is a writing coach and editor, and was voted one of the “Best of Western North Carolina” Creative Writing Teachers. Her root writing teachers are Natalie Goldberg, David Whyte, Robert Bly, Julia Cameron, Joan Logghe, Judyth Hill, Sam Shepard, Murray Mednick and others. Her spiritual teacher, H. W. L. Poonja (Papaji) suggested she use writing as an aide to Self-inquiry, and a form of satsang, or gatherings in Truth.

Through the Portal into Self- Expression! We will gather to write, using inquiry, Writing Practice, meditative moments and more, at Violet Owl Wellness at 62 Wall St. in downtown Asheville, next to Jubilee, from 2 – 5:30 on Sunday afternoon, May 20.

“I highly recommend this heart-opening workshop for everyone! We had one at my home in South Florida, and it was super fun, insightful, profound, and powerful! A lot of breakthroughs happened and tears were shed from Self-recognition, from gratitude. If you dare to experience your open heart, this workshop is for you! Make the time…It’s your gift from yourself to your Self.“ ~ ELISA L.
