Full-time position: Shift Supervisor

Organization Summary: Onsite position at small owner-operated treatment center for LGBTQ+ folx struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our staff are passionate advocates for the queer community, with the majority being of lived experience, and have decades of experience treating trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health concerns in residential, community health, wilderness, and private practice settings. The cornerstones of our program are mindfulness and a deep understanding of attachment and polyvagal theories. We are intentionally working to create a representative and inclusive organization. We strive as a body of queer providers and allies to transform our perspectives and practices, and to challenge racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, and ethnocentrism, and show up at the table for hard conversations and feedback as needed. Job Overview: The Shift Supervisor will work as part of an integrative treatment team to provide competent and compassionate clinical care to all clients and supervise and support our Community Mentors. Responsibilities include facilitating therapeutic interventions, process groups, mindfulness sessions and educational and skills-based groups for our clients, leading clients on adventure activities (hiking, camping, etc.) while maintaining the highest level of physical and emotional safety for all, upholding the highest standards of communication, and promoting a positive work environment.

Experience and Qualifications: • Must be willing to work up to 7 consecutive days on shift followed by up to 6 consecutive days off • Required 2-3 years of education and/or experience in substance abuse, mental health, or related field; • Required specific training and competency in LGBTQ+ and related issues; • Attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively; • Experience and knowledge in crisis response and de-escalation; • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; • An experienced problem solver; • Solid interpersonal skills, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team; • A genuine enthusiasm for the work, with the ability to self-motivate; • Must be at least 21 years of age; • Must have a valid driver’s license; • Current Adult CPR/Basic First Aid/AED certification; • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required; • Experience leading adventure activities a plus.
