Art Emporium Sales Associate in Downtown Asheville

Kress Emporium is a locally owned business located downtown Asheville for over 25 years in the historic Kress Building, featuring nearly 100 local and regional artists and vendors.
We are hiring for a part-time Sales Associate position, with the possibility becoming a full-time position with higher levels of responsibility.
Our Ideal Candidate is a Team Player with outstanding communication and customer service skills. Someone with a love for art and our local artist community that has interest in growth and increasing responsibilities within the business. Customer service, cash register, and computer experience are preferred.

Responsibilities include:
Greeting Visitors
Assisting with purchases
Operating a cash register
Wrapping and care of fragile items
Answering vendor and customer questions
Answering phone calls
Restocking vendor inventory
Cleaning Duties
Assisting with art displays / wall hanging
Creating signs, etc. with computer programs
