Small Bites: Eat out and benefit the Asheville Firefighter’s Fund

On Thursday, August 25, Asheville restaurants are pulling together to raise money to benefit the families of Asheville firefighters affected by the July 28 fire on Biltmore Avenue. The blaze claimed the life of Captain Jeff Bowen and was determined to be the result of arson. All participating restaurants have pledged 10 percent of their sales for the day to the Asheville Firefighter’s Fund. Restaurants are still invited to participate and an updated list will be posted on the Asheville Firefighters Benefit Facebook page.
