While nacho stains are certainly more socially acceptable in the comforts of one’s own home, why not venture out for some game day antics this year? Super Bowl XLIX, New England Patriots versus Seattle Seahawks, kicks off Sunday, Feb. 1, at 6:30 p.m., and Asheville-area businesses have planned a variety of celebrations to suit your football fancy. Read on for watch party listings… the perfect combination of economical drinks, endless eats and big screens could be available at a bar stool near you!

New Mountain AVL
New Mountain has planned a Super Bowl bash, perhaps to show off the venue’s mammoth 25-foot projector screen. Score well drinks, mimosas and champagne for $4 each at this downtown watch party. Doors open for the free event at 5:30 p.m. newmountainavl.com. 38 N. French Broad Avenue.

West Asheville Kitchen and Lounge (WALK)
Fans of Miller High Life have one more thing to cheer for this Sunday — WALK’s $2 pints and $6 pitchers of ‘the champagne of beers.’ The bar and eatery’s 9-foot by 5-foot projector screen will broadcast the game while patrons enjoy wing specials and a full menu of other grub. facebook.com/walkavl. 401 Haywood Road.

Bier Garden
Perhaps the Bier Garden’s 20 HD TVs had something to do with the bar’s being named second best sports bar in Xpress‘ 2014 Best of WNC poll. Add two big screen projectors to the roster, and the bar is also a solid option among Super Bowl watch parties. Expect food and drink specials and raffle prizes throughout the broadcast. facebook.com/pages/The-Bier-Garden/132142104345 . 46 Haywood Street.

Foggy Mountain Brew Pub
Foggy Mountain’s three TVs are in plain sight of every seat at the bar, and they’ll all be tuned in to the big game on Sunday. $5 bloody Marys and $4 mimosas will round out the bar’s game day beer deals, and the kitchen’s fryers will crank out discounted wings all evening. foggymountainavl.com. 12 Church Street.

The Social
Now under new management, The Social is targeting the hungriest of fans with its Super Bowl celebrations. Drink specials include $2.50 domestic draft beers, $4 Jager shots, $3 Fireball shots, $2 Jell-o shots, a $12 wing buffet and $2 off all burgers. If you’re still on the fence, the pub-style restaurant’s 150-inch big screen may seal the deal. Visit facebook.com/thesocialasheville. 1078 Tunnel Road.

Scully’s Bar and Grille
Scully’s is offering football fans $3 local beers and $4 Jameson shots on game day. Plus, the pub has planned giveaways for each quarter and a grand prize at the end of the Super Bowl. scullysasheville.com. 13 W. Walnut Street.

One Stop at Asheville Music Hall
One Stop invites you to get “blitzed” on drink specials like $3 Lagunitas beer while watching the game on the venue’s two TVs and a big screen. Lucky fans will stumble home with Lagunitas swag and other “major giveaways,” according to organizers, who have planned raffles for each touchdown. facebook.com/onestopasheville. 55 College Street.

The Bywater
The Bywater is setting up a large projection screen for the game and offering patrons eats from culinary busker Metal Mike. Bloody Marys, mimosas and ‘manmosas’ (PBR and orange juice) are all $1 off. bywaterbar.com. 796 Riverside Drive.

Pack’s Tavern
A 110-inch projector and all 13 of Pack’s Tavern’s TVs will broadcast the big game with audio on at full tilt. Plus, the bar’s Sunday specialty — $4 mimosas and bloody Marys — will be in effect, as well as half-priced nachos and a full menu of eats. Football fans get a free pint glass with a drink purchase after 5 p.m., while supplies last. facebook.com/packstavern. 20 S. Spruce Street.

Wild Wing Café
In addition to its normal wing menu, Wild Wing Café offers fans a shot at the “Best Seat in the House” — a recliner complete with a grill, cooler and flat screen TV. With each touchdown, a new winner is invited to enjoy the VIP seating. One lucky sitter (the last name drawn) goes home with all of the spoils when a Super Bowl champion is named. At the bar, everyone is a winner though, considering draught beer specials like $3 local pints (Biltmore location only), $2.75 Miller and Coors Lite and $2.50 Yuengling. wildwingcafe.com. 161 Biltmore Avenue OR 65 Long Shoals Road.

Creekside Taphouse
Creekside Taphouse’s $15 all-you-can-eat Super Bowl buffet includes smoked pulled pork, chicken, wings, nachos and two raffle tickets to win “tons of awesome schwag.” Plus, viewers can quench the strongest thirst with select $5 pitchers. creeksidetaphouse.com. 8 Beverly Road.

The Dugout
The Dugout in Hendersonville is accepting reservations for its Superbowl viewing party. In addition to a pub-style buffet, the event includes beer specials and a raffle and auction to benefit the Blue Ridge Humane Society. Items up for grabs include a beach cruiser bike, grill and tickets to the Biltmore Estate. $5 for a seat at the party. $15/$20 for seat, buffet and one raffle ticket. facebook.com/thedugouthendersonville. 430 N. Main Street (Hendersonville).

Lookout Brewing Company
Lookout Brewing is excited to debut Super Beer, a “hoppy session IPA,” at its game day celebration. $3 pints and some food will be available for patrons who flock to the brewery’s 90-inch projection screen, but potluck-style covered dishes and appetizers are also welcome. Free. facebook.com/LookoutBrewingCompany. 103 S. Ridgeway Avenue #1 (Black Mountain).

MetroWines
Unsure of what to sip (or chug) from your living room during the game? MetroWines’ beer specialist Anita Riley will host a beer tasting on Friday, Jan. 30, from 5-6 p.m., guiding attendees through the wine shop’s new craft beer section. Build a six-pack or a case and enter to win a beer tasting for up to eight people. metrowinesasheville.com. 169 Charlotte Street.
