Since it played here on its original release at Christmas 2000, Lasse Hallström’s Chocolat has cropped back up on local screens at least twice—maybe more. Well, it’s back again, because the Hendersonville Film Society is doing an “A to Z” theme this month and wanted something that began with a “c.” Fair enough. It’s a good choice, but it’s also a choice I’m written out on. Couldn’t they have picked Caligula (1979)? That starts with a “c,” too, and it would give me an excuse to see it.
