Acoustic Asheville: Lo Wolf

The latest edition of Acoustic Asheville features Lo Wolf and her original song, “Rape City USA.” She wrote it while on a solo, cross-country road trip last year. She had stayed one night at a Motel 6 in Missoula, Mont. and recalled an article calling the college town the rape capital of America. From that dubious distinction came this song which makes the point that sexual assault happens in all of our towns.

The song might be triggering for some listeners.

Lo Wolf has an upcoming singer-songwriter tour, April 14-20, sponsored by NC Songsmiths. For more information, visit her website.

A special thanks goes to The Grey Eagle and Noble Kava for allowing for usage of their spaces in the making of this video.
