Acoustic Asheville: Pierce Edens

Foot-stomping, guitar-slinging roots rocker Pierce Edens is preparing for an upcoming show at The Grey Eagle with his band, The Dirty Work. The Saturday, Aug. 6, performance will be the first set by that group in a long time. But it will be a send-off for the band, as its members have drifted into different projects. The all-ages show starts at 9 p.m. and The Hot Knives open. $7 advance/$10 at the door.

In advance of that farewell, Edens (accompanied on acoustic guitar by Kevin Reese) performed three songs exclusively for Xpress.
