1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1-2 bunches fresh, store-bought herbs (sage, rosemary or thyme)
Combine water and sugar in stovetop pot on low heat. Add herbs as sugar begins to dissolve; bring to a boil and cook for one to two minutes. Remove from heat, cool and refrigerate in sealed Mason jar for 24 hours. Strain.
