Amy Churchill

Amy Churchill (I),  personally registered as a Republican.

Endorsements: Buncombe County Association of Educators; Asheville Citizen-Times; Blue Ridge Republican Women’s Club.

Why I’m running:
It has been a privilege to serve on the Board of Education as both an advocate for our schools and an agent for change. I have worked to improve the learning environment for our children, and the working conditions and pay for our employees. I hope to continue to secure the resources our schools need to graduate young people well-prepared for career, college and life, while ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent effectively and efficiently.

About Dan Hesse
I grew up outside of Atlanta and moved to WNC in 2001 to attend Montreat College. After college, I worked at NewsRadio 570 WWNC as an anchor/reporter and covered Asheville City Council and the Buncombe County Board of Commissioners starting in 2004. During that time I also completed WCU's Master of Public Administration program. You can reach me at
