APD statement on graffiti arrests, investigations

In this Dec. 10, 2008, statement, the Asheville Police Department announces recent arrests of graffiti artists and details a year-long crackdown on local taggers, 14 of which the department says it has arrested. The document also summarizes the extent of the APD’s work on this front, noting that in 2008, officers conducted more than 50 graffiti-surveillance operations and logged more than 500 investigative hours on the effort.
