A puzzling mistake

The first thing I flipped to when I picked up the Mountain Xpress this week was the New York Times crossword puzzle, so that I could finally get the answers to the clues that had me stumped last week. By some cruel twist of fate, the one time I had decided to take a stab at the crossword coincided with the one time the Xpress made the mistake of running the wrong answer key. My brain can only take so much teasing.

Try this clue, for example. 3 down: “Six in 1,000,000.”

(I should’ve known — zeros!)

A less obvious clue was 23 across: boar.

Potbellied pig actually fits, but tusked warthog is the correct answer.

Without further ado, here’s the real answer key for the crossword that ran in the Nov. 20 to 27 issue of Xpress.

I have a question: I know that NY Times crosswords get progressively more difficult from Monday to Saturday. So which one do we get in the Xpress?
