Before and after: Lex. Ave. building demolished

A large building on South Lexington Avenue was demolished Monday, requiring detours and creating a cloud of dust that drifted through downtown. The building, owned by Central United Methodist Church, was reportedly built around a church whose structure was still intact inside at the time of demolition.

    Good job on being a good example to the community Central United Methodist Church & practicing preservation! What are you going to put there..a parking lot?
