Day is done in Asheville: The view from downtown’s Sky Bar

Xpress staff reporter Jake Frankel snapped this photo Friday evening, June 6, from the Sky Bar. The bar occupies the expanded sixth through eighth floor decks that also serve as a fire escape for Flat Iron building on Battery Park Avenue. Its hours are limited, but weekend evenings are generally a safe bet to find it open.

  2. Lamont, You’re the only one that is assuming that people don’t know about the Sky Bar; it has been open seasonal since 2007. Mountain Xpress has it on their restaurant page and other websites has it listed. It is a GREAT bar and I recommend anyone going. I’m sure World Coffee/ Sky Bar would love for you to come in. Don’t be a douch Lamont!!
