Downtown Master Plan manager at Green Drinks this Friday

Sasha Vrtunski, project manager for Asheville’s Downtown Master Plan, will mix, mingle and inform at BoBo Gallery this Friday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m.

She’ll be the guest of Green Drinks, a local club that meets weekly for informal discussions of heavy topics — and to raise a glass or two. The Green Drinks announcement says that Vrtunski will discuss the “Downtown Master Plan process, the scope of the plan, and how citizens can get involved.”

  1. For all the folks I have seen on here time and time again complain about ‘outsider’ firm Goody Clancy, the master plan process, unsustainable growth and development without vision – this is the first of many opportunities to be involved in the process.

The city is reaching out – remember for this process to be truly effectual you need to reach back. If you don’t participate in the process and make your voice heard now, don’t expect it to be listened to when you start complaining later about not getting say in how our city & region are going to change.
